UEFA Foundation for Children and KeeeX champions of the WSIS Prizes 2021
The World Summit on Information Society Prizes 2021 challenge is an international competition for technologies developed for sustainable development.
Out of the 1,270 projects initially submitted, we were nominated among the 360 finalists for the online voting.
Today, we are proud to announce that our project “Remote Monitoring of funding using a blockchain Trusted technology”, together with the UEFA Foundation for Children, has been selected among the top 5 projects in our category.
We would like to thank the voters who allowed us to get this far in this competition; and we would like to thank the UEFA Foundation for Children in particular for the trust they have placed in us since the beginning of this collaboration, which is a great common adventure.
KeeeX is very proud to assist the UEFA Children’s Foundation in its digital transformation through a participatory evaluation project.
Created in 2015, the UEFA Children’s Foundation supports projects that propose practical measures to help vulnerable children in the areas of sport, health, education, personal development and employment. To date, it has already funded 275 projects in 109 countries on six continents.
KeeeX proposed its Photo Proof Pro solution to enable a remote audit of projects with confidence to ensure that funding is used appropriately and that activities are in line with the mandate.
The on-site visit of an auditor was mandatory and although this task is essential, it nevertheless involves significant costs (in time and money) and has a negative impact on the environment. This is in addition to the current travel challenges created by the COVID19 pandemic.
A pilot project was launched in January 2021 in collaboration with three non-governmental organizations (NGOs) based respectively in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jordan and Ukraine.
The UEFA Children’s Foundation entered the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2021 Awards with KeeeX. These awards recognise projects of excellence in the implementation of the WSIS outcomes, in particular with regard to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The winners will be announced in May 2021.

The KeeeX Stories for Logistics blockchain traceability solution implements the DCSA standard.
It has been widely noticed and is of paramount importance that actors join efforts to foster interoperability through Data interchange formats. The DCSA https://dcsa.org/ has released Track and Trace standards for the global container shipping industry.
KeeeX Stories for Logistics implements this standard, among others, (Tradelens APIs, S3000L, UN/Cefact…) by means of publicly available open sourced Data Schema libraries. These libraries can be adapted, forked by users, merged on the basis of unforgeable keeexed specifications.
On September 26, 2019 was held in Marseille the launch day of the Green Squadron : a unique group of companies acting together to provide actionable and innovative solutions for worldwide transportation sector.
Among the solutions of the alliance : best breed applications to do real time optimization of container transportation, use of drones to track real facts in harbors, scalable and low carbon impact blockchain to certify documents and whole supply chain process, exhaust captors for precise CO2-sulfurs-particules monitoring, engines efficiency to reduce consumption and emissions, incubation of transportation start-ups to accelerate rise of most deserving ones.
The port of Marseille Fos hosted on 17 September 2019 the final meeting to account for the successful experimentation of Blockchain technology for the transport of freight over the Mediterranean-Rhône-Saône axis (MeRS).
Secure the transport chain. This project, carried out by the Interministerial Delegation for the development of the Mediterranean-Rhône-Saône port and logistics axis as part of the work on the National Port Strategy driven by the government, aimed to experiment with a pilot demonstrator to test the security of the digital transport chain in order to improve the fluidity, safety and competitiveness of the supply chain and the intermodal delivery of goods on the Rhône / Saône axis
Dematerialize the process and the supply chain. During the first half of 2019, the companies MGI, BuyCo and KeeeX successfully tested the dematerialisation of entire export processes between Lyon and the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, a major logistics axis for France. The blockchain technology used, called KeeeX Stories, allows to register authenticated and verifiable sequences of supply chain events, data and documents produced and consumed by the parties that pertain to the transport of containers over the Rhône-Saône-Mediterranean axis. The tests were carried out thanks in particular to the participation of the KemOne, Alteo and Transcausse companies, and also to the road and river transport companies involved.
Improve traceability and measure ecological footprint. The solution allows for the early sharing of documents, authenticated photographs, characteristic events and forecast information (on the loading of containers, their weight, origin and destination…), that help optimize the overall logistics process, provide new services and anticipate ever-increasing traceability requirements. For example, the solution also enables the exploitation of data from ships (pollution measures or CO2, certificates…) and the continuity with traceability needs incurred by last mile urban logistics and urban mobility.
Share a multimodal transport platform. The information processed during the tests goes beyond the strict framework of the information currently exchanged (in sometimes non-optimal conditions) in the same situation. The provision of a mobile application for QRCodes flashing, character recognition, easy text entry and dates opens up possibilities for new sources of ROI, value and services to CCS operators, carriers, chargers, freight forwarders, barges, trucks, for instance by anticipating document creation and sharing, customs clearance, etc. Creating systematically authenticated, dated and verifiable data allows participants to be engaged in a digital process without worry. This generates significant gains for all players in the supply chain and allows us to envisage a shift to a higher scale.
Demonstrate French excellence in port innovation. This pilot project was financed by the Banque des Territoires (Groupe Caisse des Depots), VNF (Voies Navigables de France), CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône), and the GPMM (Grand Port Maritime de Marseille) which also coordinated its feasibility. This project was referenced by Le French Smart Port in Med, an approach to deploying the port innovation ecosystem co-led by the Port of Marseille Fos, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marseille Provence and Aix-Marseille University.
* The experiment was carried out by three companies specializing in logistics, digital solutions for the transport chain and Blockchain technology:
Marseille Gyptis International (MGI), a software company specializing in tracking goods in seaports and airports, provides its knowledge of port collaboration. With their vision “Connecting supply chains through an intelligent system allowing visibility and door-to-door fluidity of the goods”, MGI is leading the development of the Cargo Intelligent System (CIS) Ci5.
BuyCo, a collaborative platform for importers and exporters, simplifies the operational processes of container shipping;
KeeeX uses blockchain to create digital originals of documents, data, events, geotagged pictures and signatures organized within tamper proof registries … to foster lean and efficient management of containers all along their journeys and all around the world with multiples tenants.
This prize will strengthen the industrial relationship that we are building with the two groups and make possible limitless new projects, in the data space of course but also indeed in more process aware use cases for banking, including those that stem from the new french PACTE law.
On February 25 2019 was held the official kickoff of the MeRS project, aiming to leverage the blockchain technology to improve multimodal supply chain operations along the Mediteranean – Rhone – Saone axis (hence the acronym MeRS).
KeeeX is proud to contribute to this project by bringing our expertise on Data and Blockchain and wishes to showcase by this project in cooperation with the platforms MGI and BuyCo the adequation of two of our innovations in the supply chain domain :
the KeeeX technology allowing for injecting withing any file operational context and trust metadata that yields standalone unforgeable digital originals carrying easily exploitable and permanently secured structured metadata.
the KeeeX Chains solution that lets participants in a process contribute to blockchain secured unforgeable, interoperable and auditable chains of information (documents, events and data).
The pilot, which will be released in june 2018, will demonstrate to actors the importance of using a trustless secured and interoperable data chain in achieving better efficiency and visibility along the full path of a multimodal supply chain process.
The MeRS project, sponsored by the “Délégation Interministérielle au développement de l’axe portuaire et logistique Méditerranée-Rhône-Saône”, is also sponsored by the “Banque des Territoires (Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations)”, “Voies navigables de France” (VNF), the “Compagnie Nationale du Rhône” (CNR) and the “Grand Port Maritime de Marseille” (GPMM). A plurality of professional actors (exporters, freight forwarders, carriers, multimodal operators…) also participate in this experimentation.
We are pleased to wish all our partners, customers, friends and anybody reading this post a happy new year 2019, filled with joy, friendly and happy relationships whether in your professional or private life, and the best possible outcome for all your projects.
Maybe also is it time to discover the future of Data with us. We’ll be delighted to help if not already the case.
With many cheerful thanks for all the energy shared with us along 2018.

The “Fake News” phenomenon propagates and challenges trust in information. The problem has reached such a level that the European Commission has launched a public consultation this November. Searching for ways to tackle this, EDF has initiated the experimental certification of all their Press Releases using the KeeeX technology.
Starting from November the 15th 2017, these documents are equipped with a unique set of digital signatures allowing for proving the file integrity, the author’s identity, and a publishing date. The recipients may thus verify that these PRs indeed stem from EDF by just using the service at http://medias.edf.com and a simple drag.
KeeeX is proud to collaborate with EDF on this pioneering project. This experimentation combines two technologies that address digital trust :
the KeeeX technology lets any file be secured and valued by seamlessly injecting proofs of integrity, authorship, legal timestamps, tags, chaining to other files… Builtin file trust !
the Blockchain technology allows for warranting the existence of a file at a given date. The blockchain can be perceived as an unforgeable replicated registry that can be used to record forever the fingerprints of files
Laurent Henocque, owner and CEO of KeeeX : « We are proud and happy with this trial by EDF to demonstrates the huge potential of our technology. Fake news, fake documents, data leakage, users have an ever weaker trust in the digital. KeeeX was created to fight this situation. Our offer allows for injecting trust within files and make digital signature available to everybody. ! ».
Karl Minvielle, Responsable Sécurité SI & Patrimoine EDF – DSP : « We were willing to experiment the certification of our Press Releases together with a blockchain anchoring. KeeeX was the only startup to offer a solution that was “off the shelf”, mature, fully operational and ready to deploy without intervention of our IT department. In tight and positive relationship with KeeeX, we could put KeeeX PR in production for our use case in a snap. Considering the fast acceptance of KeeeX by our users and the yet unexplored potential, I anticipate a bright future for this solution within EDF. »
