On February 25 2019 was held the official kickoff of the MeRS project, aiming to leverage the blockchain technology to improve multimodal supply chain operations along the Mediteranean – Rhone – Saone axis (hence the acronym MeRS).
KeeeX is proud to contribute to this project by bringing our expertise on Data and Blockchain and wishes to showcase by this project in cooperation with the platforms MGI and BuyCo the adequation of two of our innovations in the supply chain domain :
- the KeeeX technology allowing for injecting withing any file operational context and trust metadata that yields standalone unforgeable digital originals carrying easily exploitable and permanently secured structured metadata.
- the KeeeX Chains solution that lets participants in a process contribute to blockchain secured unforgeable, interoperable and auditable chains of information (documents, events and data).
The pilot, which will be released in june 2018, will demonstrate to actors the importance of using a trustless secured and interoperable data chain in achieving better efficiency and visibility along the full path of a multimodal supply chain process.
The MeRS project, sponsored by the “Délégation Interministérielle au développement de l’axe portuaire et logistique Méditerranée-Rhône-Saône”, is also sponsored by the “Banque des Territoires (Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations)”, “Voies navigables de France” (VNF), the “Compagnie Nationale du Rhône” (CNR) and the “Grand Port Maritime de Marseille” (GPMM). A plurality of professional actors (exporters, freight forwarders, carriers, multimodal operators…) also participate in this experimentation.
